1. About these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Alpaca One, the owner and operator of the Alpaca One managed website subscription platform (“Alpaca One”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They apply to the public website, customer dashboard, hosted websites, subscriptions, support, and related services.
By creating an account, approving a website preview, starting a subscription, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept them for that business.
2. Service description
Alpaca One provides a Website-as-a-Service product for small businesses. The Managed Website Subscription includes one hosted business website and the ongoing services listed on the Pricing page, including:
- managed hosting and an SSL certificate;
- custom domain connection support;
- routine maintenance and security updates;
- reasonable monthly text and image content updates; and
- access to a customer dashboard for website status and subscription management.
Each website requires a separate subscription. Domain registration, paid advertising, third-party software, e-commerce inventory, and work outside the published subscription scope are not included unless expressly stated in a written order.
3. Preview, approval, and activation
There is no upfront website development fee. A hosted business website preview is prepared during subscription onboarding. You can review the preview before any subscription payment is requested.
Payment is completed inside the customer dashboard only after you approve the preview. Your approval confirms that the preview is suitable for launch subject to the ongoing services described in these terms. The subscription and paid service period begin when the initial payment is successfully confirmed by the payment provider.
4. Price, taxes, and recurring billing
The standard Managed Website Subscription is €49 per website per month. The price and billing interval are displayed again before payment. Applicable VAT, sales tax, or similar charges may be calculated and added at checkout where required.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly billing period until cancelled. You authorise the payment provider to charge the selected payment method for each renewal. If a payment fails, the provider may retry the charge and we may limit or suspend the hosted website after any applicable grace period.
Payment information is collected and processed by a third-party payment provider. Alpaca One does not store full card details.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel future renewal at any time through the customer dashboard and its billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and no further recurring charge should be made after cancellation is processed.
Your hosted website normally remains available through the end of the paid period. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for time already paid. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law.
If you cannot access the dashboard or billing portal, submit a request through the Contact page using the email associated with your account.
6. Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate business information, lawful content, and timely feedback. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to all text, photographs, logos, trademarks, and other materials you provide.
You must keep account credentials secure and notify us promptly of unauthorised access. You may not use the service for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, harmful, abusive, or prohibited activity, or in a way that disrupts the platform or another customer.
7. Content updates and service scope
Monthly content updates are intended for reasonable changes to existing website text, images, contact details, hours, offers, or similar business information. Unused update capacity does not roll over and has no cash value.
Requests that materially change the website structure, introduce complex application functionality, require extensive new content, or depend on paid third-party tools may fall outside the subscription. We will explain any separate requirement before work begins.
8. Domains and third-party services
Custom domain support means we can connect an eligible domain to the hosted website. Unless expressly included in your order, you remain responsible for purchasing and renewing the domain and for keeping access to its DNS settings.
The service depends on third-party infrastructure such as hosting, domain, authentication, email, and payment providers. Their own terms and availability may apply. We may replace a provider when reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the service.
9. Availability, maintenance, and changes
We aim to keep hosted websites continuously available, but no internet service is uninterrupted. Planned maintenance, security work, third-party outages, DNS issues, force majeure events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause temporary unavailability.
We may update the platform, dashboard, infrastructure, or included service methods where this does not materially reduce the core paid service. If a material adverse change is necessary, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the original business materials you provide. Alpaca One and its licensors retain ownership of the platform, dashboard, reusable systems, software, infrastructure, templates, processes, and pre-existing materials used to deliver the service.
While your subscription is active, you receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the hosted website for your business. Any export, transfer, or post-cancellation use of platform-dependent materials must be agreed separately in writing.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access for unpaid charges, security risk, unlawful use, material breach, abuse of support or infrastructure, or a request from a competent authority or infrastructure provider. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
Either party may terminate the agreement for a material breach that is not remedied within a reasonable period after notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided with reasonable care and skill. Except for rights that cannot legally be excluded, we do not guarantee specific search rankings, visitor numbers, sales, revenue, uninterrupted availability, or compatibility with every third-party system.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpaca One is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or losses caused by customer content, customer-controlled domains, or third-party services. Our aggregate liability relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees paid for the affected website during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or operational changes. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated where required.
14. Governing rules and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Alpaca One service operator, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern in good faith.
15. Contact
